I'm working on an office project, and there's an atrium. We want to use a translucent and permeable tensioning fabric on the roof of this atrium. Could this structure be considered a shade?

Not sure if you are asking if it could be considered a shade as what would be modeled for sDA or a shade in general, such as an exterior shading device. I would say its an exterior shading device and therefore would include it in my models.

Hi, Todd! Yes, it would be an external shading device. But the Referencial Guide gives us the option to exclude blinds and shades from the model, for option 2 ( SIMULATION: ILLUMINANCE CALCULATIONS), correct? or do I have to consider this shade on the models?

Option 2 allows for shades and blinds to be excluded, internally mounted ones such as window blinds since you are doing single point in time calculations like in v3. You'll need to include the shade in your models.
