Hello everyone- I am working on my first WELL project and struggling to find an alternative foam cushioning product for custom upholstered seating (banquettes). Has anyone had any luck sourcing non-isocyanate polyurethane foam? Thanks, Lona

Hi Lona, The requirement to limit Isocyanate-based polyurethane applies to interior finishes. I think one can make the case that FF&E is not considered here. Each of the other Parts of Feature 25 (1, 2, 3, and 5) specifically call out furniture. Since Part 4 only lists Interior Finishes, I think you are okay. Having said that, I don't want to discourage your intention of limiting hazards from all aspects of your project, but I also don't think it is a technical requirement of the standard. If your project is registered, you should be able to ask your assessor or file an AAP to be certain. Good luck! John M

Hi John- Thanks for you thoughtful answer. In this case, the design is for built-in custom seating (think dining room booths) so I don't think we can get away with calling it FF+E. The project is registered so I will send this question to the IWBI folks. Best, Lona
