What is the best way to include demolition materials such as concrete and asphalt in CWM calculation? I recognize that they must be accounted for and included in the over all CWM calculation.............is there a threshold where the effort is to track becomes significant and worth targeting? Lastly, to reuse demo materials on site such as crushing concrete for infill.......To account for this do I need to first truck off site to a scale and then truck back to identify weight? Or is there another practical way to reuse materials on site and still contribute to overall CWM diversion goal?

James - I can't say I've ever used a threshold for where tracking has become worth targeting. Typically my teams want to get all the credit they can so if they're diverting the waste, they also track the amount associated with the diversion.
Calculations for this credit can be done by weight of volume, so you don't have to take the material off-site to weigh it if you can instead measure its volume. You can use the conversion factors in the LEED 2009 Reference Guide, which are posted in the Bird's Eye View above to convert back to weight if that is how your team is tracking the overall waste for the project.
