Since all the ID credits are under one form in LEED Online, do you have to wait until construction to submit everything? Or can you submit it partially under design and the rest in construction? Thanks

I have the same question. I did notice when I hover my mouse point over the credit name it does say "Design". When I do the same thing over the typical credits, either Design or Construction comes up to indicate which submittal the credit belongs to.

You should be able to submit credits in either (or both) phases of the project. The form setup/LEED Online are clunky, but there's no precedent or rule saying teams must submit all Innovation credits in one phase or the other.

I can confirm from previous experience that you are able to submit the unified form at any stage (design and/or construction review) with the corresponding ID credits you pursue each time.

Are there any additional forms for each innovation credit we submit? Ex. in v2009 for purchasing lamps with no mercure there was a form to fill. Now in innovation credits library in resources there is only the calculator. Is it the only documentation required then (apart from lamps cut sheets etc.)?

I can confirm that you can definitely submit the IN credits during any phase the same way you did in v2009. I haven't met anybody who is a fan of the switch to one form. It's one of many changes (lack of clear requirements in PI form anybody?) that don't make sense to most of us. The thought was to create less documentation and increase ease of use, but in reality it seems like it's just created more confusion.
As far as what to submit with each IN credit, the specific requirements are listed in the Innovation Catalog, but I think you have to have access to the online reference guide to access. For the Purchasing - Lamps strategy, if you tab over from "Language" to "Guide" and then click on "Required documentation," it lists the required documents:
MR purchasing calculator or equivalent tracking tool listing lamps included in the plan with calculated pictograms per lumen hour
Verification of mercury-free lamps and energy efficiency of mercury-containing counterparts
List of purchased lamps, verifying compliance with the plan, or confirmation that no lamps were needed
Lamp purchasing plan

Dustin,
Regarding the Purchasing-Lamp credit, what would the lamp purchasing plan consist of? Is it like a document signed by the owner confirming that all lamps purchased for a building will have little to no mercury? And how would we verify mercury-compliant or mercury-free lamps? Can we just provide cutsheets for that, and would also satisfy the list of purchased lamps?

We submitted 2 innovation points under the design review and they have been approved. Now I am ready to document more innovation points under the construction review, but the form is locked. Do I unlock it and add my new innovation credits? When I mark it ready for review again, will the review team leave the 2 awarded credit alone and just look at the newly added innovation credits? This is confusing with just the 1 form.

We have a campus project that has some innovation points. Within that campus we have projects that will have additional innovation points as project credits. Do we classify the Innovation Credit as under the master site project, and then add comments within the form to include the project credits? Or the other way around?
Thinking it should not matter either way, but having just the one form does cause confusion.

Jennifer, yes, you just open it back up to edit and then only change the remaining open ID credit items, unless you want to change something previously submitted for some reason. And yes, the reviewers will know not to bother with the two that were already awarded.
Deborah, I've only had one Campus project that was under (early) v3, and we had two individual building websites and one Master site for the shared credits. Is that still the same set up? If yes, we were told/corrected that anything that applied to the site as a whole should be under the Master site, while things for the individual buildings should go under their own page. Exemplary performance, for example, would live on whatever page the original credit applied...if that makes sense. Overall, you could not exceed the 5 points available for the various strategies. So, you might have 3 Master site ID credits that apply to both buildings, while Bldg A might earn Green Education, but A and B might both earn Purchasing - Lamps. So Bldg A would have 5 ID points while Bldg B would have 4.

Emily,
My question was more about what to "click" for the single Innovation Credit listed on the LEED project page - call it "Master Site" or call it "Project".
So... am still wondering.

Hmm...sounds like the online setup has evolved since the project I had, so it's hard for me to say without being able to view what you're talking about. I have a colleague who I believe has a current Campus project. I likely won't see him until next week provided he's not travelling, but if he's around, I'll see if I can get a better idea of specifics. Too bad we can't post images on these forum pages.
Anyone else on here have a more recently registered Campus project and can advise?
