Currently, we are working on a university extension project. All AC split systems will be replaced with high efficient AC split systems since old systems are operated for 13 years and shall be retired. The contractor came up a question: Does LEED regulate adhesive used in refrigerant pipe insulation? If yes, what is the requirement? The contractor stated that the most of refrigerant pipe are installed in non-occupied spaces, and the adhesive would be sealed by refrigerant pipe insulation. Kindly request your help.
