CI-v4 MRc3:Building product disclosure and optimization - environmental product declarations

EPDs used in CS project, can be accounted for in CI project?

If a CI project is located in a CS building and the tenant requires no fit out, can EPDs for products in the tenants space in the CS certification be used for the CI certification? And so forth for the other BPDO credits? If a minor fit out is done, installing less than 20 new products (e.g. only 10 new products) - do all 10 have to have EPDs to earn 1 point in Option 1?

HI Sara,I don't believe that you would be allowed to include products that were not purchased and installed as part of the CI project. In general, if minimal fit-out work is done for a CI it's hard to earn some of these materials credits.Even with more substantial fit-outs it can be hard to get up to 20 distinct products sometimes; I know that has been raised as an obstacle for CI projects to earn this point, but haven't seen that USGBC has addressed it anywhere. If you have fewer than 20 products and 100% of them have EPDs I would hope that they would approve it, but I don't know if that approach has been tested.
