Retail-CI-v2009 IEQc4.6:Low-emitting materials - ceiling and wall systems

HVAC duct insulation

Is it required to include HVAC duct insulation? As stated in the LEED Reference Guide for Building Design and Construction v4, pp 668, HVAC insulation on interior and exterior of HVAC ductwork may be excluded from compliance with CDPH Standard Method V1.1 because of lack of modeling scenarios.

I think it would typically be excluded.
