Hi, I have a project that is currently undergoing LEED certification for NC Major Renovation, with the certification due in the next two months. The project is now currently in the process of adding an extension. The client wishes to achieve LEED certification for the entire building, and we are too far through the process to stop the certification of the existing building. The USGBC have advised that the extension could be certified in isolation or the entire building could re-certify. My question is if the entire building was to re-certify could the building undergo NC Major Renovation again re-using the information from the pending certification (e.g. construction information etc) and including the contractors new information for the extension.

Francis, yes, I think you'd be able to do LEED-NC and reuse your information.
