historic district

can anyone explain historic district? i don't exactly know what that is

Sepideh, it's a neighborhood with a lot of historic buildings. That is, buildings 50 years or older with special qualities or character that are targeted for preserving based on that character. Here in the U.S. historic districts are a legally designated thing.
