My project is LEED 2009 commercial interiors. I understand the entryways are required to be 10 feet in the direction of travel inside the building. Is there any requirements about the width of an entryway system? We have a custom entry opening/door that is 10 feet wide so my assumption is that the entryways systems should also be the entire wide of the door openings but cannot find anything to support that. Please advise.

The width of the door is appropriate, but there is not a specific requirement. You want to cover the entire potential path that someone would walk on enter that door. If you can justify a narrower width then make sure you clearly document your rationale.
