I'm working on a CS project (v2009) and I have a question concerning the definition of vegetated areas/roofs and the compliance with SSc5.2, SSc7.1, SSc7.2, etc.: Do ruderal vegetation areas (so no manually planted, vegetated or sowed) count as vegetated areas or vegetated roofs to facilitate the compliance with the requirements of the above mentioned credits? Such areas typically consist of herbaceous plants, shrubs, and small trees after a plant establishment period of 2 to 4 years and also should promote biodiversity!? Any experience in this issue? That's a new term for me. Thanks!Yes, I think the inherent biodiversity, lack of irrigation, and wildlife habitat of such landscaping speaks well for it here. As long as it doesn't mean that something will get overrun with a non-native monoculture like loosestrife, kudzu, or knotweed, etc.
