does LEED NC v2009 (v3) prohibit the use of lead based metals? this application would be for use in a downspout for stormwater into the city sewer.

Thanks Tristan! That however seems counter-intuitive since a project can get a LEED credit for removing lead based paint under Brownfields credit.

Well, so it is. LEED doesn't really ban any materials. It simply doesn't cover every possible issue.
