In PI form 2, I am asked to provide the sq ft of the "area of all parking wtihin the LEED project boundary". My project is a master site with 6 projects and within one of my project boundaries I have a parking garage that will be used for the whole site. Do I include the garage's square footage only within the boundary it sites within or do I exclude this and only count the surface spaces within the boundary?

Hi Sara, I think you should include all garage square footage in the Master Site application since that parking serves all six buildings.

Hi, I also have a question regarding the area of all parking within the LEED project boundary in PIF2. In my project there is a parking area for building users and a separate parking area for trucks which are supplying (and taking) goods to (from) the warehouse. Should I put the area of the parking lot which is only for the building users or should I put the sum of these two parking areas?
The other question is if the parking area should include only the area of parking spaces or also the area of roads surrounding them.

Agata, If both parking lots are required for the project to function as intended and if both parking lots are reasonably within the platted property line it would be best to include both in the LEED project boundary to avoid the appearance of gerrymandering for site selection credits. Typically a LEED project boundary does not include public roads but private access drives should be included.

I'm also trying to find out more about parking square footage required in PI Form 2. What about landscaped islands in parking areas? Are those included in the square footage of parking areas or just the hardscaped areas? Thanks.
