CS-2009 IEQc4.2:Low-Emitting Materials—Paints and Coatings

Painting/coating in tenant space

Hi, My project is a mixed use building with 2 floor on the top for apartments. building developer design interior fit out in all apartment for lease. My understanding is with LEED CS, we don't necessarily use low VOC material in tenant spaces but in this case, those apartments will be considered of owner or tenant. I'm a little bit confused if I need to require low VOC paint/coating in those area. Thank you for your advice

If it's in the scope of your project, you should use low-VOC materials.
