Hi, Our project building is retail facility and has 4 above grade floors. The entire facility is conditioned. There is a parking floor above the retail floors. The parking lot floor is unconditioned and covered by a roof. On the roof there are uncovered parking lots. According to Interpretation 10235, "Roof area that consists of functional, usable spaces- such as helipads, recreation courts" can be exempted from SSc7.2 calculation. My question is if the rooftop parking area in our project can be exempted from SSc7.2 calculation, because parking lot could be assumed as functional usable space. Any comments are appreciated.
