Regularly Occupied Space Area Calculation

Dear All, While calculating the squarefootage of the regularly occupied spaces in a project building, do we use the gross or the net area of the spaces? Thank you!

Merhaba! In LEED-NC, “Regularly Occupied Spaces” are only directly relevant to Daylight & Views Credits IEQc8.1 & 8.2; therefore, calculate only the NET floor area. For examples of regularly occupied spaces, see the IEQ Space Matrix (http://www.usgbc.org/resources/eq-space-type-matrix). In LEED for Schools, Credit IEQc6.1 also imposes additional lighting control requirements on regularly occupied spaces. In the LEED BD+C Reference Guide, an “Overview” at the beginning of the IEQ Section includes a list of school spaces typically considered regularly occupied,
