I am somewhat confused by the Minimum Energy Performance Calculator, Opaque Assemblies sheet: "All baseline existing roofs, above-grace exterior walls, below-grade exterior walls, exposed floors, slab-on-grade floors, and opaque doors were modeled using the existing conditions prior to any revisions in spaced with unchanged space conditioning categories". Base on the LEED v4 ID&C Reference guide, the baseline envelope is to be modeled as per G3.1.(5)(baseline), Sections a-e, and not Section f. Therefore I have to answer "No" to the statement but I am supposed to provide the ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G exceptoin that applies. In this case, it is not an App G exception but rather a requirement of LEED. My question - should I model the baseline envelope using the 90.1-2010 performance requirements or should I model the baseline envelope using the existing conditions?
