NC-v4 MRc2:Building product disclosure and optimization - environmental product declarations

Option 1. EPD Question

Hello all, In doing some research it is easy to find manufacturers that provide Product-specific Type 3 EPDs (valued as a 1.0 pts.) Such examples of manufacturers that already have such EPDs include Armstrong, USG, and Certain Teed. But I've been having a difficultly grasping the concepts of the other two EPD options which hold different weighted values. As most of you may know, these two are Product-specific declaration EPDs (Valued at 1/4 pt.) and Industry-wide EPDs (valued at 1/2). It would be beneficial to see such examples of these two EPD types described by LEED, since it can provide us with a better understanding of what to look for come time to select products. If anyone has any insight or links to examples it would be highly appreciated.

Here's an industry-wide EPD:http://www.nrmca.org/sustainability/EPDProgram/Index.aspI don't have a handy example of an LCA that complies, but if a manufacturer is planning to do an EPD and have gotten far enough along in the process that they already have an LCA, that LCA would count. I wouldn't go looking for them since they are only worth 1/4 weight.
