In our latest review we were told that landscape waste is not to be included in the calculations for this credit. This appears to be inconsistent with your opening guidelines. Also is it your experience that food waste can be included.

Hi Cathy, you're right that the guidance above is outdated and that landscape waste should not be included in the MRc7 calculations. We'll update the information here to reflect that - thanks for pointing it out!
Food waste (whether composted, sent to landfill, or otherwise) should be accounted for in the calculations.

Thanks for your response. The same reviewer wrote that batteries and fluorescent bulbs were also not to be counted in this credit, since you are updating the information. Thanks again

You're right! We'll get that fixed too. However, my understanding of this credit is that while mercury-containing lamps must be excluded from the calculations, batteries should be included. So that's a little bit of a surprising comment. I'd be curious to hear whether other teams have been flagged for including batteries.

Hi Cathy, carpet and other flooring material falls under MRc9 per the Requirements section of that credit.
