Looking for a clarification on the "Roof Area" definition, in particular, what constitutes an "open covered parking structure". Our project is a multi-story tower that sits on a 4 story base which has several levels of parking. Is an "open covered parking structure" a stand alone parking structure? Considering this is a mixed use building - business and parking, I assume the roof of the highest level of parking will be included in the Roof Area calculation. Thank you.

Maggie, based on what I'm understanding from your post, the uppermost level of this parking structure would be the roof of the entire building. This uppermost roof is the roof area to be concerned with for this credit. Does that make sense?
