How long must charge stations be installed in order to be credit compliant? How is the project affected if clients remove charge stations if they are not being used?

Kimberlyn, this question is similar to many other issues that might come up on a LEED-NC project. The LEED certification is for the project as built. There are just a few specific requirements that carry into operation, such as MPR6 for energy reporting. While it would not be in the spirit of LEED or in good faith to rip out a charging station just after it is installed, there is no specific requirement in LEED for longevity. The assumption is that it would be there for the life of the building, pretty much, but there is no specific LEED-NC consequence if that does not turn out.

Thank you for the clarification, Tristan. Surely it would not be in good faith to remove the charging station!
