Hello, we are working on a LEED NC application that is an addition (horizontally attached) and renovation to a portion of an existing building (which is not LEED certified). I am reading in the supplemental guidance to MPR #2 that the project name needs to indicate that there is an ‘addition’ or ‘wing’ in the project title. My question is: when we registered this project we did not include either of those words in the project title. Do we need to make this change? If we do, is it simply a matter of making the changes to the Registration Details tab in LEED Online? Thank you for your input.
You rely on LEEDuser. Can we rely on you?

K, I don't know if this is a strictly enforced "rule," especially if your project boundary is otherwise clear. However, it couldn't hurt. I think this should be easy to change in LEED Online, but if you run into any trouble I would simply contact GBCI.
I'm working on a project in a similar situation, but what's the best way to contact the GBCI? They also implied putting up signs indicating the distinction between the LEED building and the non-LEED building. Anyone have any recommendations of this type of signage?
John, there is a form to contact GBCI on their website. You can specify the project you are inquiring about, and the MPR. As for the signage, I would think about putting something positive at the entrance to the addition, e.g. "You are entering the LEED-certified XYZ wing of the ABC building."
