Can someone explain that statement in another way? I am trying to explain what that means to tile supplier/manufacturer in China for them to provide a letter.

Lilian, let me try—it means rock, stone, ceramic, porcelain, etc., with no coating that would be applied after firing, such as epoxy, polyurethane, etc.
