NC-2009 IEQc6.1:Controllability of Systems—Lighting

Number of workstations for Hotel rooms

According to the IEQ Space Matrix, hotel rooms can be included in 6.2/6.2. So if you choose to include hotel rooms for IEQc6.1 and 6.2 do you count each room as one workstation? Or do you need to have multiple workstations in each room?

Nena, I wouldn't treat them as "workstations." See the LEEDuser guidance above for how to handle hotel rooms.

Thanks Tristan! I understand we need to have a switch in each room, but I mean should we count each room as 1 workstation under quantity of individual workspaces in project?

Hi Nena, Please check out the LEED IEQ Space Matrix FAQ Section. According to this (http://www.leeduser.com/blogs/leed-ieq-space-matrix-frequently-asked-questions): Q: I am working on a Hospitality project. How has the matrix outlined spaces for my project? A: The Front Desk, Housekeeping areas, and lobby must be included as multi-occupant spaces. Hospitality guest rooms can be excluded from lighting and thermal control requirements.
