CI-2009 SSc3.3:Alternative Transportation—Parking Availability

Carpool discount

We are working on a LEED CI office project located in a dense urban center with the minimum parking dedicated for the building. Due to the fact that there are a couple spaces subsidized for the company shuttle and executives and large number of FTE with very limited number of parking spaces we would like to pursue carpool discount incentive program instead of preferred parking spaces. From LEED NC discussions on the alternative transportation credit I have found there is a requirements of a 20% minimum discount, indefinite duration and that the discount needs to be available to all tenant occupants. Do these requirements also apply to CI projects? Are there additional requirements for the carpool program?

BEE, since this is not part of the LEED-CI program, you would have to get approval for these requirements to apply here from GBCI. I would start by contacting them to ask, but you may end up needing a CIR.
