Hi LEED, we have started the process of LEED EBOM certification in Aug-2013, the facility is categorized as industrial/manufacturing. Because of our inexperience in LEED field, we have start to establish some policies and study all the topics in the guide, in addition we have watch the educational videos in LEED user. However we feel quite lost in many aspects, for that reason we have look for LEED AP's in order to get advises, orientation, guidance and expertise on the credit areas and specific documentation needed to fullfil each credit requirement. So I appreciate if somebody can give me some ideas about any company who provide that services.

Hello Andres, LEEDuser is a place to share ideas, not solicit for services. Perhaps check out the USGBC website, there is a directory of professionals who may be able to assist. One comment on your project, if it is manufacturing and pursuing EBOM certification - be sure to verify the project can meet the requirements of EAp2. This tends to be very difficult for manufacturing facilities. Good Luck!

Hello David, Sorry about the service request, but I did not have any other choice to ask about that, by the way thank you for the advise. About the EAp2, we have fill out all the information in that prerequisite, we have conducted the ASHRAE Level 1 audit, although our facility was not rank by Energy Star but we use the other method, the facility's energy usage was compared with six manufacturing facilities (the best and worst case peer buildings were removed from an original group of eight buildings). These six facilities are from the Commercial Buildings Energy Consumption Survey (CBECS) data. So that audit help us to full fill all the information in EAp2 and because of our energy usage our facility apply in the EAc-1 for 13 Points. Now we are collecting data since September 2013 until September 2014 in order to complete the 12 months of energy consumption improvements and try to get more points in that credit. So what else can we do before conduct the ASHRAE Level 2 audit, or when is the right moment to conduct it? Thank you for your time.

I always recommend conducting the ASHRAE Level II audit early in the process when pursuing LEED certification. The audit identifies energy saving measures, if the measures are implemented the project might achieve more points under EAc1 once the project submits for certification. If you have EAp2 figured out, the next items I'd suggest verifying are WEp1 and EQp1. Good Luck!
