Data-Centers-NC-v4 LTc4:Surrounding density and diverse uses

Data Center location restrictions

Because of Data Center location restrictions those cannot be located in urban areas. This means that Data Center have similar properties with the Warehouses and Distribution Centers as far as Location issues are concerned. In particular, it does not make sense to include Data Centers in the the general types of buildings and not in the Warehouses when attempting "Surrounding Density & Diverse Uses". Instead, a Data Center should make use of the "Warehouses" alterations at this credit. Could anyone help with this?

The variations for building types like data centers and warehouses were created with priorities in mind. Apparently this credit was not a priority for the working group that contributed to the data centers adaptation.I would suggest submitting a LEED Interpretation making the case for using the warehouses requirements.

Does anyone know if a LEED interpretation exists for this approach? This post is quite old, and I am wondering if someone submitted one and successfully got this approach accepted. If not, I will plan to submit an interpretation for my project, which is also a data center in an urban business park with no residential within the radius.
