Does anyone have experience with LI 10296?

I just got review comments back that refer to this LI. My documentation was completed prior to the LI, but the project wasn't submitted until after the LI was written. I know addenda are applied based on the registration date of the project, but I believe LIs apply regardless of their date, right?

I don't know how this works, but I too would like to know the answer, so I hope that Doug, Tristan or somebody who does know will weigh in!

Tiffany, you don't give the details of your situation, so I'll speak generally.LEED Interpretations are applicable based on registration date, except when projects choose to apply them in cases where they are not required. However, LIs often offer a clarification of an ambiguous area of LEED, and if you were relying on a certain lower-case interpretation of an ambiguous area, and USGBC came out with an LI clarifying its interpretation, you would be bound by their LI, even if it's at a later date. The idea is that they are just clarifying the intent of the LEED language, not imposing a new requirement.Again, this is a general perspective that may or may not apply fully to your situation, so please feel free to share more.
