Hi,
I have a doubt related to how to model the proposed system when only part of the system is provided for some areas.
In a specific project, most of the areas have the HVAC system already designed. It consists of a water-cooled VRF system. However, in some areas, it was provided only the condensing water, not the evaporators.
My question is: how should I model the HVAC system in the proposed model in these areas, for which the terminal units were not provided?
Another scenario that I'm not sure about is: if I have a 10-story building, for which the HVAC system has been designed only for 8 stories, should I model the 2 other stories as having no HVAC system?

If the system in some areas has not been designed it must be modeled identically to the baseline. See Table G3.1-1 Proposed (c).

In the first example I've mentioned, in which part of the system is already defined, what would be left to de modeled "exactly as they are in the baseline building"? The fans?
In the second example I have another doubt: According to Appendix G, the HVAC system for the baseline model would be #8, which consists of a chiller plant. In my proposed case, in the 2 stories for which no HVAC system has been specified, should I model the HVAC system as being #8 or according to the requeriments of Table G3.1.1.A, depending on the area and number or stories of the areas which have no HVAC system?

If you can show that the installed piping will be used by the owner or a future tenant (lease agreement) then you could model a minimally efficient VRF system. If not then the entire system must be identical to the baseline.
Identical to the baseline. You do not get to change the baseline based on the smaller space.

Second example: So, if I have a Baseline Building which uses Baseline system #8 and, for example, 50 m2 of area in my proposed building which doesn't have an HVAC system designed to it, I must model the HVAC system for this area as Baseline system #8?
