Change in Ownership affecting Green Power Contract?

Dear all, the company which does the site development of our project has entered a two-year power contract (100 % green power). Now the company has sold the building before the LEED certification process is finished. Our question is whether the two-year-power contract has to be transferred to the new owner to ensure earning this credit. Many thanks.

It probably depends on the structure of the contract. If it was a one time purchase then probably not. If it is an on-going purchase, like month-to-month then probably yes.
