We have a client who is leasing two entire, adjacent buildings for 12 years. They are taking on installing high SRI roof membranes and a photovoltaic canopy system in the parking lot. It seems logical that they should be able to use these for SSc1.2.5 & 1.2.11, but the wording of the credits only covers the owner having put these improvements in place previously. Can we utilize these improvements for points? Would we need to defer SSc1 until construction submittal, so they are already in place?
