I am working on an office tower project in Panama, and rain season is about to begin. What should we do if the mineral wool used for insulation on spandrels should get wet? Most of it is already installed, and the manufacturer says it's only a matter of waiting for it to be dry. According to SMACNA IAQ guidelines, should we replace the sheets of wet/moist material for new ones?
Antonio, that's what the manufacturer says about the product, but what about how it is installed in the building. Is there an opportunity for it to get ventilation and dry out before air quality could be compromised, or will it be sealed in the building assembly?
