use of LEED logo

Antonio, I'm surprised USGBC sent you here, as it seems like they would have more expertise on use of their own logo. I would refer to their policy as you suggested. I have heard of USGBC restricting use of the "LEED" name in product and website names (our website uses it under a license agreement, but I haven't heard of action against logo use in, say a YouTube video discussing a LEED project.

Thank you for your reply, Tristan. I forgot to mention that I've already read their policy, and it does not specify anything about videos and/or presentations (only printed media and websites). Where or to whom can I refer to apply for a permission?

Antonio - I'm sorry that you were routed to LEEDuser - I manage USGBC's brand management efforts, and we can definitely answer your questions. You are correct in assuming that the logo usage would be similar to that of websites and other digital materials. Please send your request to marketing@usgbc.org (and include any specifics about how you'll be employing the logo, e.g., as an educational reference, to visually represent a LEED certified project, etc), and someone on our team will reply quickly. Apologies again on the misinformation.

Thank you, Annie. I will send my request as soon as I get specifics from my client.
