Proper filenaming for uploading

I have a simple questions but I can't seem to find the answer. What is the required filename format for uploading documents?

Brooke, I see no one has responded to this question yet. I'm on my third LEED project now and have not been informed that my files could not be used because they had incorrect file names. For my record keeping purposes I use a shortened version of the project name_description of the file (ie elevations)_and date. As I said though, I'm not sure it matters to them....

I agree with Caroline—there is no required format that I have ever been aware of or followed.

Brooke, I have realized something through my projects: If you have special signs/characters in the file name, like “&” for example, then you are not able to open the file from LEED Online. Just a tip!
