ASHRAE 62.1 Item 5.9 - Minimum filtration required

Is it required to meet the filtration requirement of ASHRAE 62.1-2007, item 5.9 for equipment areas with no occupation?

If it has a cooling coil or wetted surface then yes.

Thanks Andrew, but reading the section 5.9 properly, which says “MERV of not less than 6 when rated in accordance with ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 52.2 shall be provided upstream of all cooling coils or other devices with wetted surfaces through which air supplied to an occupiable space”, I realized that only occupiable space needs to comply with this item.
