CS-2009 WEp1:Water Use Reduction

toilets and urinals with fluximeters

according to the picture you see on the books for pre-requisites, I want to know if there is any restriction of use of toilets and urinals with fluximeters, or just in all cases require only that do not exceed 1.6 gallons per discharge.

Hi Ronald, There is no restriction on the use of flush meter valves used on water closets urinals. Note that the baseline for water closets is 1.6 gpf and for urinals is 1.0 gpf and you are correct that you cannot exceed these flush rates; however, to demonstrate compliance with the prerequisite (minimum 20% reduction over EPAct) you will likely need to consider lower flush rates on these fixtures. Hope helpful!
