Hello,
our project has 40 electrical table top water heaters. The electrical input is 2 kW and 5 liter storage.
What is the right way for modeling the baseline builing water heating equipment? Because Table 7.8 (ASHRAE 90.1 2007) says nothing about Water heaters with storage lower then 75,7 liter.
It is necessary to sum all inputs and benchmark it with the values in the table?

I've got the same problem...I've been assuming that there is no requirements for this type of water heater (electric resistance < 12kW or < 75 L)
There's a footnote c which I can't find in the table...probably as I'm using the SI addition. I'm thinking that maybe it is considered as an instantaneous water heater with a small unfired storage tank, but then that refers to gas...not electric.
