My client is an electronic product manufacturer and their corporation headquarter is planning to pursuit LEED EBOM certification. The client has not registered their project in GBCI because they are still collecting energy data for EA P2 and EA C1. Of course, my client is not sure if building can achieve the requirement of EA P2 before complete energy data collection and analysis.
Currently the show room is remodeling because new products will be launched. The remodeling contractor performs their tasks by following LEED related required. If the client decides to pursuit LEED EBOM and registers their project to GBCI, can the start date of performance period for this credit be set before LEED registration date?

Great question. Register the project right now. This will give you access to LEED on Line and 'lock' the project into V3 for up to 5 years (check in regularly with GBCI and keep them informed as to how you're getting on) As to the performance period, you can set the start date to suit you, there's no requirement when you have to start only that it must be 90 days or more
