I think this comes up when the project is cerified—it's part of accepting the certification. I may be mistaken, but that's my recollection—which explains why it isn't in an obvious place.

Dana,I believe this form is attached to the owner's account. I'm not sure it comes up if the owner is not logged in...

Tristan (and everyone) -- Does anyone know where I can get just the text of the data release form (not necessarily the form itself)? Our client wants to see the language of the document he will be signing. Thanks, Marian

Marian,I think you can find the language in the form if you log into LEED-Online. Go to Sample Forms Download then click on LEED-NC 2009 Forms (v04) and then click on Plf1 Minimum Program requirements Static Form. This will open the form in a new window or tab with all options visible. This is the language the owner needs to sign, once the desired path to compliance is chosen.

Marian, not offhand. I would email GBCI to ask for it.

Thanks--I will email GBCI. By the way, the Credit Form itself does not contain the actual release to USGBC indicating that the project team will share energy data. The credit resources section does not have it either.

Marian,Version 4 of the form does include this language. Older versions of the form do not.

Yes--the v4 Credit Form does indeed contain language agreeing to share info. The v3 Form has similar language. What I am interested in, however, are the references to the submittal of a " 'USGBC Energy and Water Data Release Form,' authorizing the release of project operating data to USGBC...[to be] signed at the time of certification acceptance." (MPR #6, Option1, required signatory PIf1-2, page 3 of 4 of the Credit Form). The reference is to a release form (not the credit form) and is described as being located here: "The Data Release Form can be downloaded from the Credit Resources section of LEED Online." It's not there. I've emailed GBCI for the text, but in the meantime, if you are seeing the release language somewhere, Emily, please do let me know. It's a small issue and one that won't come into play until certification acceptance, I realize, but our client would like to review it.

Marian,Now that I understand what you're looking for exactly I can regretfully tell you that I do not have this language. It's possible it will not show up until the project is certified. I find that calling GBCI about such things is much faster and often more friutful than email. Please do let us know what they say!
