Hi, I am currently working in the certification of an industrial building. The industrial processes are consuming a high percentage of the building's energy consumption. Does the 10% minimum energy performance applies also to the equipment used in the industrial process?
In the EAp2 Requirements for Option 1, LEED states that "To achieve points using this credit (? it is a prerequisite) the proposed design must meet the following criteria: [...] Inclusion of all the energy costs within and associated with the building project". I am assuming this includes the energy for the industrial process.
It is quite difficult to document a performance improvement % since the existing equipment in other industrial buildings may not be known, so the new equipment to be installed does not have a baseline to be compared with.

Yes it does and it can be difficult.
The baseline is defined by the project team and should be based on standard industry practice for that process.
