We have a psychiatric hospital project in UAE intending to get certified under LEED for Health Care. As we now see from USGBC website that LEED-HC V2009 is released although there are still certain credits under the pilot category. Please suggest the likeliness of using LEED-NC or LEED HC for the project.

I would recommend using LEED for Healthcare for it. The system is completely released and support is being built for it. Healthcare projects usually take some time to build, so resources will improve as you go along. If you prefer to stay with the more-known NC, I think that's also okay.
Joshua,
Tristan is right; LEED HC is operational. There are credits in the pilot library that started out in LEED HC. They did not make it into the final balloted version. You can still use them under LEED HC. Projects are allowed to use more pilot credits as ID credits in LEED HC than in LEED NC so that may be part of your decision.
The other thing to review is the increased points in EAc1 which starts at 18% improvement. There are more points available in EAc1 in LEED HC than in LEED NC. If your project is aggresive with energy use, then this would be another reason to stay with LEED HC.
Hi, do you have any new information regarding the launch of LEED for Healthcare?
Thanks! /Veronika
Hi Veronika,
We are still on track to launch full certification in LEED Online by the end of the summer. We will post more details on usgbc.org soon! The BD+C reference guide supplement was released in April and registration in LEED Online has been available since last November.
Okej, Thank you! /Veronika
