Hello! I am working on a LEED-registered project and I have a doubt regarding which is the Gross Area that I have to include into my calculations for EQ8 (option-Measurement). Standing the ASHRAEdefinition of Gross Area I would assume I have to include exterior walls and the partitions separating interior spaces into the calculations, but it seems very strange to include these walls into the daylit area. What is the correct way? Have I to include these walls or only the "net area" that is the real daylit area? Thanks!

You only need to include regularly occupied space, which as you point out, does not include walls!

The IEQc8.2 Form appears to reference the "Total regular occupied gross area" from the Project Information Form 3. I originally calculated those values as "gross" values, meaning that I did include the area of the wall (all of exterior walls and centerline of interior walls. To make the value in the form equal the value as calculated on the required chart (excel file) IEQc8.2-F, do I need to go back and recalculate the values on the PI form 3 to exclude walls? Currently, it's a difference of about 0.5%... would this appear to be a legitimate inconsisency by the reviewers?

Tim,Since you did not receive a response sooner, I assume you moved forward with this method. Was there an issue with the inconsistency?
