I don't think a cafeteria or auditorium are eligible for an Energy Star rating, so you'll need to follow Case 2 for this credit.

Michael, I'd recommended check out the PE Guide (see the resource section) and maybe working directly with Energy Star to determine how the cafeteria and auditorium space should be classified. In many situations, cafeterias that serve an office building would be included in the "office" square footage. The auditorium would potentially be in the same boat, and Energy Star has specific guidelines for when you list the space as a separate space type and when you include it with the primary space type.
