No the calibration does not need to be undertaken every month during the M&V period. Yep the data gathering is the primary activity during the M&V period. Some of the calibration activities could begin during this period but that is not required. Once you do calibrate the data be sure to closely examine the monthly actual vs predicted data to ensure a reasonable degree of accuracy. Do not rely soley on annual comparisons of total energy use alone.
