The referenced link addresses existing aged copper on renovations. Does anyone have experience submitting an SRI value for new copper on an NC job? Our supplier has given us the 'new' SRI value at 62. Is it acceptable to submit this value as our roof SRI looking at the LEED application as a snapshot in time. Or has GBCI come back and not allowed copper to have that high of an SRI value because it will diminish over time?

With other materials, "aged" value is not factored in for this credit under LEED-NC, so I would be surprised if there is this one exception. However, it seems not in keeping with the intent to submit something with a new SRI of 62, knowing that for most of the life of the building it will be less than 29—so I wouldn't submit it.
