Can Exterior Plantings count in MRc6?

We have a Science & Math HS Building under construction and have come up short with our rapidly renewable products. We are investigating various approaches in order to meet this credit.

We have a project in a small town that is very remote. The nearest recycling facilities are 150 miles away by rail or truck. Another option is 1,500 miles by barge.

It's clear from the credit language and LEED Online form that California Title 24-2005 Part 6 can be used in place of ASHRAE 90.1-2007 as a baseline when creating an energy model.
