A key take-away from the POEs break-out was that the common fear of liability from doing a POE and discovering problems is completely unfounded, in everyone's experience. In fact, people felt that the risk of liability due to performance problems is much higher if you don't check back in with the client and seek to understand what's working and what's not.  Here are the POE-related slides decks that we have permission to share: Maria's slides showing WELL performance verification measures and how they function as a kind of POE. Heather Jauregui's slides showing how qualitative and quantitive data reinforce each other in POEs of four different schools. (This was actually presented on Thursday evening, but since it's about POEs, I've included it here.  Corey's slides describing two POEs. Anecdote: by asking to do the POE they discovered a major performance issue that the client was unhappy about but hadn't mentioned to them.
