Work flow questions

Hi, all. We missed you at the standing check in today. We have a couple of questions for the BG team:

1. What is the timing criteria you need for Best Practice content? We need to back into a deadline on submissions and believe your critical path timing will help define ours.

2. Can you elaborate on what LEED User/BG content may be pulled through to BIT-user? What example content provided by SMEs, other LEED teams, etc, as well as permissions needed to re-use them?

3. We're concerned the draft page presented is too text heavy. Can you recommend/provide graphic strategies and/or visual content to help break up the text? We're also going to review in hopes of paring down the volume of text.

If you could get back to use by COB on 3/28 it will keep us on track. Thanks.

Hi Shane, As we just discussed, we weren't clear that you expected us at the standing meeting--sorry about that. Now that we know, we'll plan on having at least one of us there each time, at least for the beginning. We might also send you agenda items in advance if we have any.  Meanwhile, thanks for sharing these questions here, and we'll get back to you next week with answers!

Answers to Shane's questions: 1. What is the timing criteria you need for Best Practice content? We need to back into a deadline on submissions and believe your critical path timing will help define ours. If we can have one or two full Best Practice examples, with all the info for the tabs, by beginning of April, then we should be good on our end for now. Here is a reminder of the tab content (BITuser's Viewpoint, Best Practice Requirements, Implementation toolkit, FAQs, and any assigned experts). Please plan on providing all the Best Practice content by beginning of May. -ab 2. Can you elaborate on what LEED User/BG content may be pulled through to BIT-user? What example content provided by SMEs, other LEED teams, etc, as well as permissions needed to re-use them? Not sure I fully understand this question, will talk to Nadav and get back to you. -ab 3. We're concerned the draft page presented is too text heavy. Can you recommend/provide graphic strategies and/or visual content to help break up the text? We're also going to review in hopes of paring down the volume of text. Answered by Andrea here:

Responding to Shane's question #2--I think maybe Jenny and I should talk about what would be desirable here. We can, in theory, pull in pretty much any BG.com and/or LU content, but we're not clear on what would be most useful or even where that content would go in BITuser. Jenny--would you like to set up a time to talk about that?

Nadav – just sent a calendar invite for tomorrow AM. I think a quick chat will do the trick in terms of clarifying what we are thinking. If anyone else is interested in joining the convo, let me know. Thanks, Jenny F

Hi gang, Nadav and I discussed the LEEDuser content borrowing situation yesterday, and for everyone’s reference here is a recap: 1. Generally, we can draw content freely from LEEDuser without any concern. Much of this was originally developed by the YR&G/WSP team. This includes narrative content unded the “viewpoint” and “FAQ” pages. 2. If we want to use sample LEED project submittals that are posted in the Documentation Toolkit and originate with a specific project (e.g., lists a project name, address, logo, etc), we will make note of the details in the Google doc where we are tracking content status, and will work with BuildingGreen to seek expanded permissions from the team before publishing on BITuser.
