WHO releases a Roadmap on good indoor ventilation to address COVID-19!

HI Green Gurus. Great news for those who signed the petition to WHO last summer, and even those who didn't. The World Health Organization’s (WHO) released on March 1, 2021 a Roadmap to improve and ensure good indoor ventilation in the context of COVID-19. This document provides practical advice on how to mitigate COVID-19 through airborne emission in three settings – healthcare, non-residential and residential. For each category, they describe natural ventilation, mixed mode and mechanical ventilation solutions. The Roadmap also references curated international standards. It gives health authorities and the general public a framework to seek expert advice on individual buildings. It's definitely a useful document for us to use and share.

Please see the Press release here. You are welcome to promote this news with your communities.

Check out the great quote from SDL Luke Leung too.

thanks.

Thanks for shariong Mary Ann, I was just perusing it as your message came through.  ;-) I would note that for those who were following up after the summit on a decision matrix for Decarbonizing Existing Buildings, the "roadmap" is an interesting and easily digested example of a decision flowchart purpose-built for inclusion in document form. If you want to go straight to the roadmap jump to page 18 of 38 in the pdf. Clark
