NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum Energy Performance

What will the minimum OA be if hood exhaust hood is present

We have a culinary school, the minimum OA per 62.1 is only 10k cfm, but the fume hood exhaust can go above 100k cfm. But 90.1 only says about modeling the same ventilation rate between proposed and baseline but didn't say about the fume hood exhaust. So should we also model the fume hood exhaust cfm identically between proposed and baseline? Also, for the fume hood fan energy, if I understand correctly, should be modeled identical per 90.1 6.5.3.1.1 exception c. Is this correct? Thanks in advance!

The kitchen hood should be modeled identically as a process load. Section 6.5.3.1.1 applies to regulated fan power. Kitchen hoods are not regulated (that is why they are process and modeled identically). The fume hoods referenced in Exception c are the kind used in a lab. Kitchen hoods are not typically referred to as fume hoods.
